Are you designing a new office space? Call RPS Carpet and Flooring.

If you are redesigning an office space, or just building one from the ground up, you are eventually going to have to pick a flooring option. With so many flooring options out there, it can be a daunting task. The best commercial office flooring marries function with aesthetics, but the decision can be difficult to make. You must consider factors like budget, design, traffic, and maintenance when choosing the perfect flooring. When choosing flooring options, the type of business you run and the furniture that will be in the office are of paramount concern. Keep reading for a few options to pick from for your new office space.

Carpet

A dependable standby, carpeting will service most office spaces in great and reliable ways most of the time. If insulation from noise is important to you, carpet or carpet tiles are a great choice because they are great at providing insulation from sound. If most of your employees will spend their days on their feet, carpet is a great option because of its soft texture and forgiving cushion. Carpet is also easily maintained as it does not necessarily need to be vacuumed daily. If you go with carpet tiles, you can even change out small areas of damaged or soiled carpet and replace them, rather than replace the entire floor if need be.

Hardwood

For a more elevated and sophisticated look, hardwood floors are a great option. With regular care, they are easy to maintain. There are also so many options; you could opt for a light colored bamboo or a rich dark red oak. Hardwood floors add elegance, warmth, and a classic style to any office space. If needed, hardwood floors can also be sanded down and refinished.

Vinyl

Vinyl flooring is ideal in high-traffic offices as it is an extremely durable material. Vinyl is also cheaper when compared to hardwood or carpet, so if money is an issue or if your office is very large, vinyl might be perfect for you. Vinyl can also be treated to resist scratches and stains, not to mention slip resistance. Vinyl comes in all sorts of colors, patterns, and finishes, so if you want to get creative with your space, vinyl is the way to go. Vinyl stands up to all kinds of wear and tear and is great in spaces from medical offices to retail stores.
